There used to be water in front of those rocks for the bears to swim in, but they drained it, because another bear broke one of the windows in the display where you could see the bears swim under water (video of bear Vicks breaking the window: www.youtube.com/watch?v=hVmpxJz6pCw )

Made at the Concours Hippique in Haarlemmermeerse Bos, Hoofddorp 2012.

I put the camera in manual mode 1/20th, f/22 to get the background nice and streaky, and shot in continuous high mode, to get (hopefully) one of the images where the rider and/or horse's head were detailed. This was the one that came out ;-) I wonder whether the rider knows he sticks out his tongue during riding..

This polar bear was really mangling the bucket he was playing with. Very nice to see that animal in action like that.Taken at the Blijdorp Zoo in Rotterdam.

When you bring 3 year olds to the Efteling themepark, you can expect them to have nightmares when they see this. Fortunately my son didn't care too much about this dragon.

I shot a number of photo's with a fast shutterspeed, but most photo's don't show the speed. Horses jumping over fences just appear to float in the air.. Just looks weird. This photo was about the only one that was nice to see with a fast shutter speed.
