The F-100 Super Saber was a multipurpose fighter from the 50's through the early 60's which saw extensive use in the early parts of the Vietnam War.

This was taken at "Thunder Over Michigan" Airshow

In this image, all the pilots have just closed their canopies. The USAF Thunderbird pilots conduct a great ground show. Along with enlisted men, you can see that the pilots' precision extends from the moment they put on their flight suits until they go through their debrief.

One of the most exciting aspects of the Thunderbird Show is the opposing solo pass. The time this so that it is exactly at show center. There is not much room to spare here.

Offutt Field was hosting an open house in the summer of 2010. It was a great event which included the Air Force Thunderbirds aerobatics team. I shot this with a Canon 7d and 100-400 lens from about 50 yards away. I didn't catch the crew chief's name, but the ground show was as good as the aerials.

There's a reason the #5 on the bottom pilot's plane is upside down... It's just below the flags on the intake scoop.
