Time in a bottle by Jim Croce

If I could save time in a bottle
The first thing that I'd like to do
Is to save every day
Till Eternity passes away
Just to spend them with you

If I could make days last forever
If words could make wishes come true
I'd save every day like a treasure and then,
Again, I would spend them with you

But there never seems to be enough time
To do the things you want to do
Once you find them
I've looked around enough to know
That you're the one I want to go
Through time with

If I had a box just for wishes
And dreams that had never come true
The box would be empty
Except for the memory
Of how they were answered by you

But there never seems to be enough time
To do the things you want to do
Once you find them
I've looked around enough to know
That you're the one I want to go
Through time with

I love goldies from the 70’s and 80’s.
Analogue Or Digital? - Bunker House Britannia Shipyard 8555e

Harris Hui (in search of light) posted a photo:

If you have to make a choice now, would you go back to film photography again?

I will go back to film provided that I have a sponsorship on film developing and scanning.

I shoot normally 50 frames a week and it will costs me at least Canadian $3,600 for film costs, processing and scanning annually.

I surely love the feel and quality of film (especially medium format). However cost is really an issue now. The sum $3,600 (which is a low estimate) is almost my 5 years' budget on gear and computer upgrade.

When I shoot digitally with no extra cost, I always shoot 4-5 frames per scene with variations in aperture and shutter (make sure I have the right depth of field or blur), variations in composition, PoV and angle (make sure the background is right), sometimes bracketing in exposure and white balance. You cannot do all these with film without paying extra.

If I have a sponsorship, then it is a different story.

So that means goodbye to film. Because I will never have a sponsorship.

This is a Kodak Brownie as seen in the bunker house at Britannia Shipyard.

Have a great Sunday!

Why Is Still Life Interesting? - Bunker House Britannia Shipyard 8562e

We have a very warm weekend in Vancouver and I decided to shoot something indoor which is in the shade and away from the sun.

I went to Britannia Shipyard and visited the bunker houses. I took a few still life pictures there.

Still life is interesting to me. Why would simple daily objects make interesting picture or paintings? Remember the painters just draw a painting with a few fruits.

This is a secret we want to crack down.

Have a great weekend and stay cool!
