Grand Central's 'new HST' is seen arriving into York on a frosty morning.

Seen in the late evening at York Station whilst having a quiet moment we see the old North Eastern Railway Signal Box at York. The redundant box is now a WHS and a Coffee shop on the top.

This is York... NER York Central Signal Box.

Myself and three Japanese Tourists enjoy the sun and the semaphores at Cattal as a York bound DMU arrives into Platform one. Visiting Cattal is like taking a step back in time. The station is still served by semaphore signalling as can be seen in the top left of the picture. A lot of BR and Regional Railways signs can still be found on the station giving the place a rather 1990's feel.

Here we see 43307 'Tayside'departing York for Newcastle with 43308 'Old Course St.Andrews' on the rear in rather poor weather conditions. We had a good bash behind her from Doncaster and the driver gave us a 5 tone horn out of the station, in fact you can just make him out giving us a wave!

Here we see RAF Bomber Command Halifax of 158 Squadron at the Yorkshire Air Museum, Elvington near York. The aircraft itself is a bit of a mix up it has parts from a lot of other Halifax's including the main fuselage from Halifax HR792. But still it's great to see her!

43084 Failed during this run and subsequently was withdrawn by Grand Central afterwards. When this photo was taken the Unit was still 'switched on' however it was the MTU on the rear that was doing all the work, the Valenta was just ticking over. The Valenta is currently stored awaiting refurbishment leaving 43123 the last Valenta, but even 43123 will be withdrawn on the 22.12.10.

This picture shows class 37, 37607 firing up at York Postal Sidings, the 37 and 47 should have gone on to work 0Z47 however for unknown reasons a DRS 66 did the run instead.
