When my father in law (Moose) got was diagnosed with Alzheimer's 3-10-09 I became his 24 hour care giver. My husband Shane (on the back of the tractor) restored his fathers (Moose's) Tractor, so he could see it one last time in it's glory. Before we got the fenders on Moose wanted to test drive his pride and joy. A few days later, at Greenwood (Moose's favorite restaurant), I saw a ad in the local town paper for the Women Committees Botetourt Farm Bureau Photo contest. I told Moose I was going to send in the picture of him and his tractor. As Moose always said, when someone took a picture, "That will be $10." He also said, "Don't waste your time, I won't win." On June 24th 2009 Luther "Moose Amos Kessler passed away. He was buried on June 26 and On June 27th 2009 Mooses Picture was announced the First place winner in Agriculture. I got a $20.00 Visa card. So I got a few cups of Greenwood Coffee and went to Moose's grave and left him his $10.00 and his coffee. Moose you won.

(If you wondering why my husband is on the back of the tractor, it is because Moose stated, before he got on, "You don't need a license to drive a tractor.")

The snow was so deep the kids could not use their sled. So daddy hooked them to the tractor and pulled them around. No walking back up the hills.

While driving back from the creek we seen the cows on a hill side. My mom said it would be a great picture so we pulled over and took some. This picture won second place in the Botetourt Countries Farm Bureau contest!

I was in the field fixing a rake and seen this little guy across the way. So I grabbed the camera and started snapping pictures. After I was done it followed me back to the rake. I seen the mother across the creek and walked it back that way out of the sun. We still see it in the summer eating our fresh cut hay!
