this is one of 24 shots i took for the fotomarathon in berlin on june 19th.
fotomarathon? yes, a fotomarathon. fun activity!
1 city - 12 hours - 24 pictures
we met up at 12 o'clock, were given sd-cards, the slots were sealed (so as nobody could manipulate the pictures taken), we were told the topic and given the first few titles for the shots to be taken, and we were told the next meeting point. then we had three hours time to get shots for the first 8 titles and get to a different part in the city. there we got the next sheet of instructions with the new meeting point, new titles and everything and so on. at midnight we could turn our sd cards in and go home. if you didn't make it in time to one of the meeting points you were disqualified. this year's marathon had the topic time travel berlin.

this is shot 13/24: "verändern" (transform / change)

I also want to thank Machel again, for her wonderful inspiration, i hope you know how much i enjoy creeping around in the woods, trying to see the world the way you see it... in all its beauty. it's so therapeutic! and don't worry, there are a few more mushies to come but afterwards, i'm sure, i'll return to other subjects ;)

yesterday my other new lens arrived and boy did we bond. it costs about four times as much as the 70-300mm so i had hoped it wouldn't be all that good so i would end up wanting to keep the cheap version, but alas, after the first shot i took i knew we would never part again :)
so i'll be sending the 70-300mm back and keep the 70-200mm.

this shot was not taken with the new lens, i didn't manage to get out when the light was good so i chose to share something i shot with my usual 100mm f/2.8 macro lens.

today is a big day and i'm excited. all this new equipment and a totally new task: shooting a model on location. i doubt i'll end up with anything good, but i know i'll try :)

there are a few people here on flickr that i feel so honored that they spend time on my stream, commenting my pictures and being there for me when i have questions. i have learned so much from those people, so many different things! and whenever i feel like i have no more inspiration i can be sure that one of them does something that makes me go "WOOOW! i wanna be able to do that!" and that's a great motivation! so thank you very much everyone who has helped me one way or another lately. i thank you wholeheartedly :) gotta love the flickr community ♡

Hipstamatic App for the iPhone - sooc

i'm in berlin for the weekend - in fact i should say i was, as i'll be leaving in 9 minutes - and couldn't stop shooting everything with that hipstamatic app for the iphone... it's soooo cool! well, i like it. i know it's totally different, and i hope i'm not scaring anyone of my contacts away with this. i can assure you, there's more of the more regular stuff coming soon but until then i feel like i need to share my enthusiasm for this really cool app :) what i love about it, aside from the original look is how it's partially unpredictably how the outcome will look and you really need to focus on shapes, colors, lines... might be a good training for my composition skills, i guess.

so bear with me please! and let me know what you think of it please!
