Castanea sativa. Introduced to Britain over 2000 years ago, sweet chestnuts are often considered an 'honorary' native tree.

Red Berries

These Red berries on what looks like a Grey Alder tree, stand out against the deep Blue of the sky.

Unfortunately I had no "tele" lens with me here, only my 50 f/1.8 cheapo canon prime.
However, this lens is very good as this 100% crop shows. Distance to subject approximately 50feet (16m)

Today there are over 2,000 varieties found throughout the cooler regions of the world.
