The ants protect the aphid eggs during the winter, when they hatch the ants carry them to various plants to feed. The ants then collect a sweet substance called honeydew which is excreted by the aphids.

The two towers Of Sway

Sway is a small village about two miles from my home town of Lymington. The smaller tower on the left is the protoype which is 15m and the main tower on the right (also known as Peterson's Folley) is about 66m.

Adonis Blue (female)

The female Adonis Blue is very similar to the female Chalkhill Blue. The main difference being the Adonis has blue hindwing scales. The Chalkhill has slightly larger spots with black edging.
