Re Edit .. Glenfinnan and Loch Shiel looking over the Jacobite monument. Jane and I rowed 7 miles up Loch Shiel a few years back now and got engaged at sunset on the banks of Loch Shiel !! The weather the next day was very interesting so I had to wait a wile to climb up to this point to capture an image that would remind us of the beauty of Loch Shiel and the Glen. A canoe trip we will never forget believe me....

Shooting in the rain is always a challenge, but this day it was coming at me from all angles ! It was a case of wipe and shoot and repeat all the time. Got there in the end but even this one has lack of contrast as the rain bounced of the lens.

Rathlin Island is an island off the coast of County Antrim, and is the northernmost point of Northern Ireland. Rathlin is the only inhabited offshore island in Northern Ireland, with a rising population of now just over 100 people, and is the most northerly inhabited island off the Irish coast. The reverse L-shaped island is 4 miles (6 km) from east to west, and 2.5 miles (4 km) from north to south. The highest point on the island is Slieveard, 134 metres above sea level. Rathlin is 15.5 miles (25 km) from the Mull of Kintyre, the southern tip of Scotland's Kintyre peninsula. It is part of the Moyle District Council area, and is represented by the Rathlin Development & Community Association. Best Large on Black.. To be honest its best viewed original on 22" or above monitor or very large canvass !! Its the only way you will see the boat and the lighthouse !
