"Without going into the old rivalry of Two Magots / Le Flore, it is undoubtedly one of the most beautiful Paris cafes. Thirties in the model (it really dates from 1885), it is still coffee where literary artists and intellectuals of the day enjoy getting together just like those of yesterday."

Balloon Girl

Not Jane Doe posted a photo:

On Saturday, July 24, I took part in Scott Kelby's Worldwide Photowalk with 24 other photographers in Calgary (and 33,485 from around the world).

We passed through Chinatown and I saw this girl in the crowd. I asked her if I could take her picture and she obliged me with a couple photos. As I walked away, I wasn't really happy with the composition so I asked if she'd mind if I took a better photo, using the brick wall nearby. Basically, I wanted to capture her jumping in the air so it looked like the balloon was pulling her up. I set up one flash on the ground and fired off about 5 pictures. That's all I really had time for, because my group was still 'walking'.

Seems like I can't get away from concept photography, even when I'm shooting random people on the street!

Strobist Info: 1 SB-600 at 1/32 with diffuser, set on ground (gorillapod), pretty much in front of her right knee, about 8' away, angled up, triggered with Cactus V-4.
