Going through my Vatican/ Sistene Chapel photos, I've found most are pretty usual and familiar, and portrayed better elsewhere by pros. Tourists can't use photo flash.

This one... well... I liked. I'm not sure what I thought at the time. Perhaps just the oddity of the fire extinguisher that caught my eye.

But now I'm tempted to create a fanciful story. I mean, who really knows what those statues, so excellent and life-like, get up to in the evenings, after the doors are closed? Perhaps they come alive, after having spent yet another boring day standing like statues.

And then do as they wont. Can't blame them. Perhaps female statue on left, and male statue on right might exercise mutual passion. So hot it might set the place aflame. Hence the strategically placed fire extinguisher.
