TURN UP YOUR AUDIO :)

Allow yourself a treat: Attend a live performance of Handel's "Messiah" if you have the opportunity. I do so almost every year and enjoy it so much. The music is a divine experience no matter ones belief. I myself do not consider myself an orthodox Christian yet I feel the divine love through Handel's music.

It's amazing that Handel wrote the music in just 24 days. Fast guy! Or perhaps he got a divine inspiration? Also interesting is that one can have a new experience every year as the work has been adapted in different ways and orchestrations. And speeds! Even Mozart, a divine composer himself, made a different arrangement of it.

I like to think that I, in a former life, were one of the 700 people at the premiere in Dublin on 13 April 1742. So that the largest possible audience could be admitted to the concert, gentlemen were requested to remove their swords, and ladies were asked not to wear hoops in their dresses. Lol!

Let us not forget that Christmas is the feast of the child. Child Jesus, the children of the world, and the child within each of us. Let peace descend.and spread the message of love. Let the light shine upon you and let your own light shine upon others.

Whatever your beliefs, the message is universal. The nativity scene is merely a depiction of a universal message. So make love, not war. Give peace a chance and smile as much as possible.
