Way to go, yiphee, Table Mountain made it to the 14 finalist, here is hoping it will be reaching one of the 7 natural wonders of the world, bit.ly/t1NsFL The waterfront at the Victoria Alfred Basin always lends itself well for a great active water & mountain shot.

Victoria Falls

Last week a quick 3 day whirlwind visit to Livingstone in Zambia to the Victoria Falls. This is the very first image I took and it presents exactly what I felt, simply, wow. The sheer magic, magnitude and great late afternoon light just unfolded and gently awakened the tired body and mind....so that's what David Livingstone was talking about...This is the dry season, the Zambezi River is at its lowest level and the display still remains awesome.

Love going to this particular "wild" spot of Namaqualand daisies, this year the flowers seem a bit sparse though but the magic still remains, having a field day...

Sunday afternoon in the colorful village of the Bo-Kaap.{ in Cape Town} The houses are painted with very bright colours and are uniquely built in rows, bordering onto each other which really makes the colours work, like pink and red here.

Christmas has come and gone, very fast like this drive by "shooting" on our way to Christmas lunch, about 80 km away and basically across this bay, False Bay. The strong South Easter winds created these clouds above the mountain range, which with some imagination would really look like snow...

A quiet road in the village of Stellenbosch, otherwise known as the students place and tourist destination due to the historical buildings and vineyards. Yes, autumn is showing its first signs too but not really in the weather pattern. Oak leaf intertwined on a windowsill of a historical Cape Dutch type building.

The uniqueness out of sandy dunes and harsh sea elements appear the cutest, smiley, catchy, sun-loving fragile little angel blossoms, the daisies now in bounty as in orange and yellow too; necessary to go further up the West Coast for that...and this is for my special sister who celebrates her birthday today and I wish we could share it together at all these bountiful places, Happy Birthday ,sis, enjoy....

On its way to a distant memory...lol...only yesterday, to be able to sit here and just enjoy this little paradise around the corner only with the distant thought/ bearing in mind as winter is actually on its way, it did start raining today,which is truly much needed but this starts to look surreal. The bliss of being able to enjoy rare occasions, extremely powerful...

Reaching the Slangkop lighthouse at sunset, I seriously think they should open a lovely seafood restaurant right there at that little house and have all those little crayfish that just come crawling out of these waters. Slangkop lighthouse is the tallest cast iron tower along our shoreline, completed in 1919.

Searching for the "perfect" sunset and realizing there is still about three quarter of an hour left for that particular light, this surfer beach in Kommetjie had to be the first practice run. The heat mixing with the cool Atlantic Ocean is one of the many chilling things one can do at 19h15 ...

Back from a short KwaZulu Natal trip; the tropics were really hot and this fellow was really keen on my tropical fruit, had to close the doors as they unfortunately come inside and grab your food. Great camp in Hluluwe Nature Reserve called the Hilltop and this is the balcony and quite obviously his chair.

From one sea to another... on my way to the warmer and more tropical sea side in Kwazulu Natal, the Indian Ocean...will not be "flickering" for a couple of days but hopefully have some new & exciting things on my explorations to share end of next week. These are the last of the Aloe's at Ysterfontein beach;quite thunderous West Coast Waters reaching the shore...

Who said that purple and pink dont fit together? Nature proves once again; bright is beautiful...Bokbaaivygies mixed naturally with small cluster of daisies, as found in the vicinity of Ysterfontein in the Western Cape..It was getting slightly cloudy and I had a polarizer on; yet the caleidoscope remained...☺ SOOC.

44 days after surgery and the thumbs up for getting out and about and what better place then to still experience the beauty and bounty of those once a year little treasures that appear along the West Coast... the caleidoscope of colour remains so mesmerizing and transform you in another magical place. The season cannot start without a glimpse of these little treats. The nearest for an abundance of the variety of flowers in one little patch is on the road towards Ysterfontein; so keep an eye for this space...☺ With this I also want to thank my family and friends who have helped me soooo much during the recuperation process, so that my first task was to be able to crouch, approach and shoot these little flowery treasures...☺Enjoy.
