On my mini road trip to Morro Bay I stopped along the coast north of Malibu and found a few of these guys lurking in the tide pools. Got soaked head to toe for my efforts (don't worry, camera and iPhone stayed safe and dry). It was all worth it; and I'd do it again!

Not sure how I feel yet about the new Flickr! I like some aspects, others not so much. For one thing, it takes longer to load. What do you think?

I recently enjoyed a much needed visit with my best friend in Morro Bay.

So adore that sleepy little village by the sea.
Such a wonderful and safe harbor.
A quiet place to sit and reflect.
Something I needed to do.

*Currently going through some life changes. The title describes my state of mind.

I've taken so many fly by shots of pelicans.
Most of them are blurry.
This was a happy surprise.
A little bummed I clipped his wing though!

I was way more fascinated with the figures walking past than the setting of the sun!

The sunset was more spectacular after it sunk into the sea. But what captured my attention the most was the endless stream of figures strolling to the edge of the cliff, some dangling dangerously over the precipice, to pay homage to the setting sun!

I always gravitate towards the coast, but this time I decided to do something different. So I headed for the mountains. I certainly didn't expect to find an emu farm!! On Facebook, my good friend from down under, Jenny said this reminded her of a song. It's really cute, have a listen if you have the time!!
