A longhaired Chihuahua and a Toy Poodle. Both very popular in Japan. If you go through the mall with a toy poodle, you'll always be surrounded by girls wanting to take pictures. Toy poodles... eh, not my type.

Hana, the longhaired Chihuahua was my favorite... she's so quiet and delicate. Actually acted a lot like a (mostly) obedient cat. I think that's why I thought she was so cute. ♥

This is from a super cool ryokan with suuuch tasty food! I had never seen green soba before, so I was pretty excited, lol.

Each person got their own little basket, it was awesome. Although... from what I can remember, it didn't seem to taste any different...

Ahh, probably my favorite photo this year (so far). I can finally upload it.

I found this ladybug by complete coincidence while I was waiting for the crosswalk to change.

Also, I was in agony about what to crop out, so I made wallpapers for it...

Probably the coolest teacup I've ever seen. It's a bit hard to see in this photo, but the bottom of the cup is a second layer with cutout shapes. Oh and on the bottom of the inside of the cup is a unicorn, lol. And the saucer... Super majestic set. ♥

Japanese Farmhouse

You always see Japanese houses and think 'Oooh how exotic...someone's gonna come out w/a kimono on!' or something, right? Ok, hopefully not that, but you know what I mean.

I have a Grandma who lives on a farm with a very traditional farmhouse.... and it was weird to see a Japanese parallel. Makes you take a second look at American architecture, lol.

Anyway, this is my friend's grandpa. Her grandparents were super nice! They made a ton of their own food -- we were able to try their mochi and bamboo snacks. They also had a ton of land that they grew rice on. You can see a sampling of their beautiful fields here. The grandpa in the picture also hiked his pants up to well past his waist.

(Also, note the little shrine next to the water drain, haha)

This was taken in the countryside of Kitakyushu, south Japan. But you can kindof imagine this is what all those fields in the previous photo look like. ^_^

What other type of farming looks so cool? I think maybe asian countries really take these sights for granted...

This is flying out of Narita, about an hour east of Tokyo by Shinkansen. And I'd say it's how most of Japan looks.
Yeah, you think of the metropolitan chaos everytime you think of Tokyo, right?

Of course, if you looked out the window on the other side of the plane, you'd see a crazy mass of metropolis that never ends. I love Japan for that. (^-^)♥

Soooo....yeah. I don't know exactly what this is called, and I have absolutely no idea why it was outside this store.

I'm assuming this is taken from Aliens, right? I'm don't know for sure...

I do know however, that it's super awesome. And whoever made it is awesome. I love the "Don't Touch!" sign at the bottom (and yes it was only in English. Us and our bad manners...). I bet that thing took a really long time to make...
