The CN Tower is a communications and observation tower in Downtown Toronto, Ontario, Canada. Standing 553.33 metres (1,815.4 ft) tall, it was completed in 1976, becoming the world's tallest free-standing structure and world's tallest tower at the time. It held both records for 34 years until the completion of Burj Khalifa and Canton Tower. It remains the tallest free-standing structure in the Western Hemisphere, a signature icon of Toronto's skyline, and a symbol of Canada, attracting more than two million international visitors annually.

Its name "CN" originally referred to Canadian National, the railway company that built the tower. Following the railway's decision to divest non-core freight railway assets, prior to the company's privatization in 1995, it transferred the tower to the Canada Lands Company, a federal Crown corporation responsible for real estate development. Since the name CN Tower became common in daily usage, the abbreviation was eventually expanded to Canadian National Tower or Canada's National Tower. However, neither of these names is commonly used.

Le Harle huppé est un canard plongeur. Son bec effilé rouge, sa tête noire avec des reflets verts, son collier blanc et sa huppe lui confèrent un style inimitable. Le mâle est facile à reconnaître avec sa double huppe, son collier blanc et sa poitrine roussâtre tachetée de noir. Par contre, les femelles et les juvéniles ressemblent fortement à ceux du Harle bièvre. Cependant, l'observateur chevronné fera sans peine la distinction entre les deux espèces. En effet, les harles bièvres femelles et juvéniles présentent une très nette séparation entre la tête brune et le cou blanc alors que ceux du harle huppé voient le brun de la tête se fondre sans transition dans le gris du cou. Le harle tient son nom de son habitude à nager le corps submergé (Mergus, de mergere, submerger).

La Harelde kakawi ou Cacaoui (Clangula hyemalis) est une espèce de canard plongeur marin de la famille des anatidés. Elle est également appelée Harelde boréale, Harelde de Miquelon ou Harelde du Nord, voire Garrot de Miquelon, Fuligule de Miquelon, Canard de Miquelon, Harelde glaciale, Morillon glacial, Criard d'hiver, Petit Pilet, Pilet dériveux, Micloux, Canard à longue queue de Terre-Neuve, Sarcelle de Féroé ou Canard des glaces.
