The Needles - A row of three stacks of chalk, rising out of the sea off the western extremity of the
Isle of Wight, U.K.
.....The Needles lighthouse, built 1859, stands at the end of the formation.

Bruges 84m ( 275 ft ) high medieval Belfry ( Belfort ) built in
1240, has 366 steps and 47 bells inside.

leans about a metre to the east.

Lies at anchor in the marina of Ostend, Belgium.
She was named after Gerardus Mercator ( 1512 - 1594 ), Flemish cartographer.
She was built in Leith, Scotland and launched in 1932.

Impressionism was an art movement begun by Paris-based artists in the 1860's.
..........The name of the movement is derived from the title of a Claude Monet (1840-1926) work called 'Impression, Sunrise' ( Impression, soleil levant ).
.....The path leads to Monets famous house in Giverny-France and the 'Atelier des Nympheas' ( Waterlilies Studio), hung with precise reproductions of his works, though you will have to head to Paris to see any of his originals.

The ' Painter of Light ' and his family lived at the ' Maison de Claude Monet ' in
Giverny - France from 1883 to 1926 - painted pastel pink and green.
..........During that time Claude Monet ( 1840 - 1926 ) dug a pond , planted a seasonally blooming garden and constructed the Japanese bridge recreated in many of his paintings.
