Apologies for the quality of the photo, there is no doubt about the quality of Doug Green who saved RT1947. The bus was an exhibit at the Midmar Dam Historic Village in Natal, South Africa. The museum decided it was surplus to requirements as it did not fit in with the Victorian theme. It was parked outside for a time until Doug made an offer for it. At that time it had been converted to front entrance for OMO working.

The finished vehicle that Doug Green preserved just about on his own. The vehicle was parked across the road from my house at Pineville Junction, Pinetown, Natal, South Africa and I personally know the amount of work that went into the preservation. Under the Pinetown registration plate was its old British number, LUC 33. I brought the bonnet handles back with me from a holiday in the UK.
