I never paid much attention at all to this Japanese Cherry Tree growing up, especially this one. It had a malady very early on, its growth was stunted. And then I think about its larger sibling, it grew while I grew, I hung Christmas lights every year over, around, and through it. Oh that was a joy taking those lights down I tell you. And yet I never appreciated nor paid attention to the beauty of these trees. They were simply hassles or obstructions when throwing a football towards the grass lawn endzone or blasting a tennis ball during our World Series out on the loop. So this is truly an homage to the grace and rediscovery of this old friend. Enjoy!
