Another view on Belvedere on a beautiful morning in the Val D'Orcia. This valley was added to the UNESCO list of World Heritage Sites in 2004.
I decided that I'll spend my retirement in this mansion :)

If you follow my stream you probably know this scene (another day during dawn with some fog). I took this one on the evening before. Light was far from perfect as it was very hazy. Anyway... I didn't want to keep this one back.
Btw: This place is the "Podere Terrapille" where they shot some scenes for the "Gladiator" movie.

Recommended to view in "L"arge.

My third upload of the sunrise view at Podere Belvedere, Tuscany, Italy. Sky changed minute by minute and so I tried different perspectives. The best thing was, that the grass was wet and I was wearing sneakers. Never had that dripping wet socks before. But it was worth it.

Some of you asked for more B/W shots, so here we go ;)
As I said before, we had bad weather during our visit in the Tuscany most of the time. Nontheless some city/street photography seems to be perfect for rainy days. I took this photo in the city of Pienza, Italy.

Morning fog covers parts of the Val D'Orcia in the Tuscany. I took this shot from the city wall of Pienza. From there you have a beautiful view across the valley with it's beautifully shaped landscape.

Morning mist covers the Val D'Orcia at dawn. The house on the right side which stands out is the Podere Belvedere. One says that it's the most photographed house in the Tuscany.
I was waiting for this scene for three days. As the weather was very cloudy and rainy the first days, I did not even leave the house. But at this morning it was worth the very early trip.

The Cupressus sempervirens (cypress) is typical for the Tuscan landscape.

Also typical: Cops that wait for tourists to drive their car in the so called "zona traffico limitato"-area. In short: 115€ ! Suckers...

I made a short trip to the Tuscany last weekend and so I only had three full days to enjoy this beautiful region.
Unfortunately the weather was not on my side - Clouds, clouds and even more clouds... and sometimes rain! I wasn't expecting this. Anyway I tried to make some good photos =)

I took this capture from the town of Monticchiello, a small ancient village.
From this place you have a beautiful view to the "Val D'orcia" with it's hills, farmhouses, cypresses and agriculture.

Yay, I just found another gem in my sardinia archives. I don't have any time to take some pictures at the moment so browsing the archives is the only option to keep my stream alive =).
