A three-image vertical panorama of one of two "The Winged Figures of the Republic" by Oskar Hansen, a fitting tribute to the 112 workers who gave their lives to the building of the dam and the infrastructure that supports it.
After Hansen completed the sculptures, he left instructions that the figures were not to be polished and they have developed a natural patina over the decades. However, local folklore says that those who rub the feet of the two figures will experience good luck in the casinos. Hence, the feet have been "polished" over the years to retain their original finish.
