Photo of the moon in mid May 09.

The composition has been deliberate - The moon is positioned in the top left to give a sense of dominance over the empty space around it, and the moon is lit from the sun that is some distance away but in the direction of the empty blackness, showing there is light at the end of the empty dark space somewhere....

This shot was taken from a twin engine air taxi on the way from Kuredu Island in the Maldives to Male. It was taken through the plane's window. It just looked amazing and I just had to take a shot. I cropped the original shot sligjhtly, rotated it a couple of degrees to get the right look and then slightly played with the curves to get it looking like this. It is pretty close to how it actually looked at the time.

Bridge over a small river flowing down from Llyn Idwal in Cwm Idwal, Ogwen Valley, in Snowdonia Wales. This is a second attempt following some critique of the HDR shot. i played around with it and felt this was one I quite liked.

This shot was actually taken at 6pm in early May. I deliberately took the shot with the moon overexposed (it was a ball of white on the original) so that I could then underexpose the photo to eliminate the blue sky and introduce the detail in the moon.

Using LIghtroom 2 I then increased contrast, decreased Yellow, increased sharpness and a few other bits to get the final result.
