A time exposure made in 1977 on Ektachrome film with my, then, not so old "New" Canonet QL 19 from top of this overbridge.

Nowadays, one would require a police permit to get anywhere near the place even by day. Besides, one would not be able to take a picture of Le Corbusier's most famous Chandigarh building in this fashion as trees obscure most of the building now.

This was scanned in 2006 and, if I remember correctly, was uploaded to Flickr in my "non-Pro account-status" era. I guess I must have deleted it in an effort to manage within the 200 image limitation applicable then.

I have fond memories of this movie hall, even though I don't recall viewing a single movie here after 1969/70 when I'd seen Bullitt here. {Correction: There was that one time in the late 70s or very early 80s when I had accompanied others to this cinema-hall to watch an Indian art-house-ish venture by the title of Junoon }.
Its still an important landmark, though.

Take away the steel frames on the cantilever, the name-sign, the dangling poster, the collapsible gates on the glass entrance doors at the ground level (not visible here) and one still has a structure that defines the character of the Piazza. There are portions that remain unspoilt.

I don't think there've been any changes since 2006.
