we got our family pics taken this week and I couldn't help but to snag this shot in the middle of the shoot... the photog wanted to get a shot of me taking their picture... so why not? :)

a little cheating... I didn't take this but I directed the wife on it... who else was going to toss the daughter in the pool-? :) it gets hot and stays hot here in TX so we try to hit the pool before the triple digits come to stay...

my daughter loves loves loves birthday parties... so we go to a bunch... this happened to be a outside mid-afternoon party... what lovely light! here the birthday boy took a moment to get his face painted... hard to believe this was taken with the d50 and 55-200mm non-VR kit lens...

today was picture day at school, so the daughter got all dressed up... being the 'family photog' it's hard to get your family members to get all dressed up to take coordinated shoots... so I took this opportunity to get some shots in... I told her to pose how she wanted and she gave me this ;)

well they say that your kids will be different from each other and they weren't kidding... we've come to the conclusion that our son a. doesn't like pacifiers and b. will only take 'catnaps' during the day... looking back-we were spoiled with our daughter!! thank goodness that he knocks out at night (prob cause he's so tired from the day).... zzZz

Still not getting out of the house but couldn't resist going to our neighborhood BBQ :) It was also Evan's debut... I brought out the d50 and started shooting away... our neighbor's kid had a cut on his head and when he was offered gauze to wrap around his head, he went crazy :D

The daughter had her first Easter egg hunt of the year...she did pretty good and was excited to see the Easter bunny... I'm surprised at how many kids are scared of the Easter bunny!

here he is... a little over a week old... sure doesn't look like he was a month early-bigger than most kids at full term! getting him to pose while sleeping is much harder than you think :) in the end we liked this one the best....

look who is here!! he came a little early too-almost 4 weeks early-and surprised everyone... he was in the NICU for a week and this was taken when most of the stuff was removed from him! thank goodness everything is okay now...

what do you get when you mix a brownie and cookie? a Brookster!! the wife and I were watching a dessert show and came across this wonderful treat... we bought the mix and it was heaven!! definitely worth a try...
