Ar Hyd y Nos – All through the night – is a well-loved welsh folk song that I learnt at my mother’s knee and sang in many an eisteddfod and concert. As I uploaded this photo I thought it would suit. It’s another picture of the tree on top of the farm where I and generations of my family were born and bough up.
The words to the song are just delightful and as I have said before, I so wish you all could speak my language to appreciate the beauty of the words. So I have included the English translations, but, with no disrespect to the English language, it’s not the same.

Yes, left it late, but went to see Les Mis over the weekend, wow, loved it, although many of my friends who have seen it on the London stage have compared it and said it is better on stage, so will have to go to London soon to see it. Ann Hathaway was amazing, and Hugh Jackman was just the best...............and yes I cried buckets all the way through:))

I did not take this picture (wish I had) it was taken by one of the people I work with who has a learning disability. He bought his new camera in to the drop in I started in Aberystwyth and he asked me to show him how to download his pictures onto the computer. When I saw this I was just amazed. Helped him to crop and straighten the horizon one little bit, otherwise this is his own work. We are now talking about starting a camera club for members with a learning disability and I am so excited to see what they all have to produce. He would love to have some nice comments from all over the world so I told him that I would post it onto flickr:)))

We had a wonderful end to our Year with the news that we have been made Great Aunt and Great Uncle again, Isabella Arwen our great Niece was born to Rebecca and Rob who are Doctors living in Cardiff. This is a picture of Rebecca the last time we saw her, in her sister’s wedding holding her sunflower bouquet as her sister’s bridesmaid. LOVE YOU GUY’S!
We love you even more that you came home to have her born in Wales – such wise parents.

The one wonderful thing over Christmas and the New Year is that I have seen my children for 2 whole weeks, no work, just the kids, back to work , school and college for the family from next Monday. O well was great whilst it lasted:))

Bethan came home from her work placement at our friends Cafe yesterday walking on cloud 9 because she got her first tip, small as the tip might of been for some it meant the world to us as her parents. Just remember when you tip, that for some it is not just the money but how great it makes them feel within.

Saw these three in a local garden centre in Aberystwyth yesterday. Reminded me of the wonderful summer we have had here watching some brilliant sports people in both the Olympics and Paralympics. Hope everyone else had a chance to see how we do things around here.

Feeling like a butterfly

Spent a few moments in the early afternoon sun looking at butterflies outside the house before taking Daddy to another hospital appointment. Feel like a butterfly at the moment flitting between one problem and another, but the Doctor was so pleased with Daddy that all the rest of those problems just flew away like a million butterflies, he is looking good, feeling good and don’t need to go to hospital for another 6 months. I could have kissed that Doctor. Still worried as his cancer won’t go away, so we have to live with it, to me he is living with cancer, sounds better.

Hope all my wonderful flickr friends are still around and sorry for not calling so often lately.xxx
