I was on my way to my camp after a day long nature exploration trip when I encountered these kids returning home from school. It took me 40 minutes ride along the way, and it must had taken them
hours. We are expecting rain and storm in tropical area and people living there are very adapted to adverse weather. I didn't know these kids. We only exchanged smile when we met. But with tropical cyclone Bopha swapped through the island on 3 Dec 2012 and killed more than 300, the only thing I can do is to hope that they are safe.

使用單筒望遠鏡拍攝，高倍數之下將鳥兒拍成大特寫，亦剛好可以強調這種鳥的辨認特徵，鳥兒的眼中則反景著遠方的夕陽。仔細欣賞，即使是常見的鳥，大家會發現有許多細節是我們平時錯過了的。

在公園散步時聽到樹上有鳥群活動，細心觀察一番之後見到大山雀捕獲了一條毛毛蟲。當習慣了使用望遠鏡追蹤，面對快速移動的小鳥亦可以用單筒望遠鏡拍攝。
