A huge storm forms over the Mojave Desert and gave us the best lightning storm I've ever seen. This shot is a combination of an HDR edit then manually blending the original layers.

A gorgeous orange glow during a stormy sunset. I've been working on this HDR for a while now to get it where I wanted it. Not to HDR'y, dramatic enough with enough detail to make the HDR worthy, but not to crazy. This was shot at -3.7, -.7 +2.7, iso100, f8.

Taken in Yosemite National Park, California on February 20th, 2013.

Dusk Stars over Death Valley

As the full moon rises on my left at 9pm I still managed to get a ton of stars looking southwest from the Devils Cornfield in Death Valley National Park. In this photo is the stars Sirius, Rigel, Betelgeuse and the Constellation Orion.

Not one of my best night shots, but I really like the setting.

A manually blended three shot image of one of my favorite sunrise sequences I took back in 2010 looking over Crowley Lake located along Highway 395 in the Eastern Sierra's in California.

It's interesting seeing the lenticular clouds in the background and the mist coming off the mountains to my right.

The Badwater Salt Flats in Death Valley less than one hour before sunset. A 4x GND filter was used on this shot. Usually I'd post only sunsets here but this one show it can be even beautiful during daylight hours.

The Badwater Salt Flats are located on the south end of Death Valley National Park.

The Pittsburgh Plate Glass Company's chemical plant at Owen's Lake. A pretty damn cool place to shoot photos if you don't mind trespassing. Several movies have been filmed here.

View on Black, press "L". Just about the only water you'll find in Death Valley. This is Salt Creek located between Stovepipe Wells and Furnace Creek. But don't drink the water! A three shot HDR lightly processed using Oloneo's Photoengine.

During the "Blue Hour" a full moon sits over the Mesquite Sand Dunes in Death Valley. This is a three shot image edited using layers in Photoshop. I never get tired off hiking onto the dunes before sunrise to get shots like this.

The variance of light and darkness proves to be an exceptionally hard spot to shoot and edit. I edited three images manually to achieve this image.

A rainbow graces Lower Yosemite Falls Hoping for some heavy snow that did not happen, I happened to grab a shot of this rainbow which made up for the lack of sniow.
