Rather cold first thing up at Beadnell this morning but as the sun rose above the horizon, the circulation kicked into action again!

Was hoping for a few more clouds etc but a very pleasant hour or two in this wonderful spot on the Northumberland coast.

I wasn't really geared up to make a panoramic but seeing this scene unfold before me yesterday morning, I thought it was crying out for a wider view so I made a quick 3 vertical shot sweep!
A bit of distortion etc to deal with in PS but it's come together quite nicely and hopefully represents the "Intensity" of the wonderful sunrise and give a wider view to include the Farne Islands which I will often try and include up at Bamburgh as i feel they are a very important feature at this favourite location.
I only made about ten shots or so not including test exposures, and never moved from this spot which i will no doubt be 'lured' back to from time-to-time when the conditions are favourable!
Moments like these don't happen that often and it's always a challenge to make the most of them so I'm pleased that I decided to make the panorama as I know I would have regretted it later had I not done so.

My OCD with Bamburgh normally takes me automatically to the West side for the ubiquitous scene from Harkness Rocks and the wonderful beach there. However, there are some great rocks on the East side that I'll definitely go back to and explore further sometime in the future!

I just liked the transition between the calm rock pool in the foreground and the encroaching tide here with the Inner Farne standing proud on the horizon!

Up again at daft o'clock in hope of a break in the latest wet weather that we are having at the moment! Not much of a sunrise where I was further along the road so decided to head back to Bamburgh to make a panoramic that I tried last year but due to parallax etc didn't come together! Bit of OCD going on with Bamburgh at the moment but I guess it happens from time-to-time as you visit somewhere and see other shots that you want to make!?
Although the sun didn't really shine through, I always love atmospheric clouds such as the ones around this morning and all-in-all, really pleased with the way that this 21 shot pano has come together...only very minor fixes required and the normal hundred or so dust spots!!

Just gonna keep going back to Bamburgh until I make the photo that i want to from this location (then I'll still keep on going back after that in any case cos I love the location)!
The elements didn't really come together this morning and the sun never appeared but i liked the cloud structure and will maybe post one or two other shots later!

Wouldn't normally put the castle so central but think it works alright with the ledge and water flow!?

Armed with a big 'wish list' of locations to visit, I wandered over to The Lake District first thing and was so pleased I made an early start as this was just about the only light I had all day!
I talked to many walkers who said that the colours weren't as vibrant as normal at this time of the year! Having never been to the Lakes for autumn colour, I must say that I just loved the colours and had it not been for the constant rain, I could have stopped the car every 15 metres or so to get the kit out!
Not sure why but someone has left some red roses under the bridge.....just visible!

Will return here again one day as a truly exceptionally beautiful part of the world!

All sorts of filters used here to deal with the contrast and my latest purchase, a Hitech 0.6 Reverse Grad came in very handy on more than one occasion today! Did make some other photos and will see if I can remove the rain spots from them!
