In this shot I used a shorter exposure (around 1sec) to give a different effect and show more detial in the sparks emminating form the steel wool.

A different "spin" on light painting here with the steel wool being spun in circles whilst the "spinner" also rotates around in a circle to form the orb shape in the centre of the action.

This image shows lightpainting to the extreme, where burning steel wool is spun over a period of around 30 seconds to give the dramatic efffects shown as well as highlight areas of the foreground.

The light painted image was a combination of 3 shots. The first of the statue with a single floodlight to the side (out of shot), the second of the trees light painted behind. and the third with torch light to highlight shadows and provide the spot light in the top left.

This shot shows some specific light painting. I used an iphone torch app to highlight the timber from different angles for around 30 seconds, then a small torch to highlight areas of the drift wood for another 30 secs.

A bit of fun with a torch. One of my favourite types of light painting. A very simple effect produced by walking towards the camera duriong a long exposure whilst pointing a small torch towards the camera and rotating in circles as you walk.
