De cabrio's en sportwagens komen weer naar buiten, het dak kan open, de bomen beginnen weer kleur te krijgen en de planten en bloemen beginnen uit te komen na een lange koude winter. Ja, de lente zet nu echt definitief door gelukkig.

The convertibles and exotic cars come out of their dark garages, where they were locked up all winter. The trees get their green color back and the flowers and plants begin to bloom again. Yes, now it's definitely spring!

De foto is een beetje donker, maar persoonlijk vind ik het wel een warm en klassiek sfeertje hebben. De bruinachtige Ghost, de zomerse sfeer op het terras en de lichtinval rechts. De bewerking is minimaal. Wat denken jullie ervan?

The picture is a little bit dark, but I think there is a warm and summery atmosphere is this one. This is due to the brown Rolls-Royce and the sunlight at the right. The editing is almost nothing. What do you think of it?

En dat is Hongaars voor 'Goedemorgen Boedapest'. Het was een prachtige ochtend met veel zon en dat is gunstig voor de foto's. Dit gebouw hierboven stond naast ons hotel, maar zag er wat verlaten uit en was wel toe aan een opknapbeurtje. Er waren wel meer gebouwen in de buurt die echt leeg stonden, hoewel dit bijna in het centrum was. Rechts is de Gellértberg nog te zien, waar we aan het eind van de middag naar boven zijn gelopen.

That's Hungarian for 'Good morning Budapest'. It was a lovely morning with a lot of sunshine and that's also good for the pictures. The building on the photo here was next to our hotel, but it was looking a bit deserted and needed a renovation. Remarkably, there were more buildings like this in the area. At the right side you can see the Gellért Hill, where we walked to the top that afternoon.

Het was een hele klim naar de top van de Gellértberg (Gellért-Hegy), maar eenmaal boven had je een prachtig uitzicht over heel Boedapest. Dit uitzicht hierboven geeft een blik naar de andere kant van de stad, tegen de zon in.

There were a lot of stairs to the top of the Gellért Hill. But once we were on on the top, we had a wonderful view of Budapest. On this photo you see the other side from the city.

Zo werd het nou eenmaal genoemd door iedereen. En dat is ook niet zo gek, als je zag wat voor auto's er dagelijks voor geparkeerd stonden. Op bovenstaande foto staat niet veel bijzonders, maar de opstelling veranderde dagelijks. Als je met je hotelkamer/suite uitzicht hebt op zee, heb je vast een prachtig uitzicht over de baai van Sunny Beach. Zit je aan deze kant, dan kan het goed zijn dat er een F430 of een CL65 AMG V12 onder je balkon staat. Goedkoop zal het zeker niet zijn. En ja, zonder een Audi, Mercedes of BMW hoor je er nou eenmaal niet bij.

De mini-McDonalds op de luchthaven van de Bulgaarse stad Burgas. Aan airside zat een Mac die nóg kleiner was. Tevens hetzelfde vliegveld waar enkele maanden terug een aanslag werd gepleegd op een Israëlische bus.

Het verschil tussen arm en rijk is enorm. In dezelfde straat staat zowel een Audi RS6 als een matte Mercedes CL 65 AMG, terwijl hele families gewoon op straat leven en kinderen aan je arm gaan hangen om te bedelen. Het is onbegrijpelijk, maar de harde realiteit in het Bulgaarse Sunny Beach. De maffia rijdt overal rond, maar politie is nergens te bekennen.

Ruim appartement, zwembadje, strand en haven vol exotische wagens op loopafstand. Wat wil je nog meer? Hier ook daadwerkelijk verblijven, natuurlijk. Maar Sunny Beach is ook leuk en wat meer levendig.

De lucht was werkelijk prachtig toen we met het bootje teruggingen van Nessebar naar Sunny Beach. Zwetend in de bus zitten kan natuurlijk ook, maar dit is toch iets leuker.

Waarschijnlijk eigenaar van Club Plazma, een Bulgaarse discotheek in de stad Plovdiv. En dan met je GT-R op vakantie gaan naar Sveti Vlas aan de Bulgaarse kust, wellicht. Het Duitse kenteken is wel een beetje vreemd.

Niet in Spanje, ondanks de Spaanse titel, maar aan de Bulgaarse Zwarte Zee-kust. Het strand in Sveti Vlas was overigens een stuk rustiger en meer relaxed dan een paar kilometer verderop in Sunny Beach.

Aan de Bulgaarse kust genieten van de zee en het uitzicht met de badplaats Sveti Vlas aan de overkant. 's Avonds is het ook heerlijk rustig op het strand van Sunny Beach.

Na heerlijk gegeten te hebben in het eeuwenoude stadje Nesebar, besloten we per bootje terug te gaan naar Sunny Beach (alles beter dan een snikhete oude Bulgaarse stadsbus met chagrijnige buschauffeurs). De zon was net onder gegaan, maar de lucht was nog prachtig oranje.
