50/50: Day 31, Season 2

The end of an era
BLOCKBUSTER Canada Co. was placed into receivership on May 3, 2011 pursuant to a receivership order of the Ontario Superior Court of Justice (Commercial List).

As of Friday September 9th, BLOCKBUSTER Canada Co. Closed there doors for rentals and is now selling off all their stock and will be closed for good on October 1st 2011.

Another beautiful day here today. I may not be on much the next few days. My wife is going for surgery tomorrow morning and I will be spending most of my time at the hospital with her until she returns home. If you guys could keep her in your prayers that would mean a lot.

first time out shooting with the new Sigma. I meant to bring my 580exII but forgot it so I used the popup flash. It's so nice to see the weather starting to warm up. I could actually function and not freeze to death tonight...lol

I have a few more from tonight I will post later. first impression of the new lens 2 thumbs up. It's quick to focus.

Hello friends. Sorry I have been away, I have been in bed for 2 weeks with vertigo. I still am not feeling to great so I may not make it to your sreams right away. I'll do my best to catch up.

This is an archive shot from Sept 2009. I seen this layout idea in a magazine add to sell prints and decided to build my own template of it to try it out in photoshop.

Today I brought in my XSi for warranty repair :( The auto focus was acting up and getting worse. They said they have up to 60 days to look at/ fix it. I really hope it dosen't take that long, I'm going to be totally lost without my camera. I will continue to go through my hard drive and post some older shots and maybe do a couple Photoshop projects along the way.

I went out to test the new camera today. It was a pretty blah day out but I found a bit of color. A mail box covered in ice from being hosed down after a downtown fire a few days ago.

Met up with a friend for coffee tonight. Was nice to chill out and shoot the sh!t. Tomorrow we are heading to Temagami with the photoclub. Looking forward to meeting a few new people and getting some cool shots.

A 15 second Long exposure of last nights sunset using a B+W #106 ND 1.8 (64x) Filter. There was some nice waves to add to the water effect. Looks great large, worth hitting "L" on your keyboard.

I hope everyone had a great Mothers Day. We spent the day with my wife's family and had a BBQ with about 25 people at her brothers. Tonight I took the girls up to the falls. I met a photography student from Ottawa there. She couldn't figure out why all her shots were coming out blue. It was a quick fix, she had the camera set on custom WB.

Duchesnay Falls

I took the girls up to the falls today. What an adventure it turned out to be. I fell flat on my @ss twice and rolled down part of a hill. We got back to the car only to realize I locked the keys and cell phone inside. My spare key was in the wrong coat. So out to the highway I go and flag down a nice lady who let me use her cell phone. Dad had a spare key and drove it out to me. Thank god for Dads!

It was a fun day out and I have a couple more from today I'll post later. See you on your streams
