I took a ride out to Kilve this afternoon. This time I managed not to have any accidents! 8-)

The beach is a geological Site of Special Scientific Interest (SSSI), and the coastline is an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB). The cliffs and rock formations on the beach are rich with fossils. The rocks on the beach to the right of the photo are very tricky to walk on ~ you really have to watch your step, good walking shoes needed! I love it here, it really is so beautiful. I spent nearly 4 hours here this afternoon and the time just flew by!

The fact that this image is numbered "1" indicates that there are more beach and fossil photos to follow, so I will apologise now for boring you all to death with them!

This sight is quite common at this point along the sea front at St Ives. This afternoon was so windy that it was blowing the waves over the path at high tide!

This photo was taken by my 8 year old nephew, Declan. It was taken along the Grand Western Canal in Tiverton, Devon, from a horse drawn barge.

He was getting a little bored (horse drawn barge is a bit slow for an 8 year old!!!), so I gave him my camera to play with!!! I wanted a pic of the hosre pulling the barge so he got this for me. The horse's name is Dandy. Well done Decs!!!
