This and the other motorbike shots in this set are made during the first motorbike show, taking place at the international fair of Plovdiv city, Bulgaria. The images are made by request of Ducati's dealer in Bulgaria - Overdrive.

1. SB-800 @ probably 1/4 power with 101cm (40") umbrella
2. SB-800 @ probably 1/4 power with diffuse box-umbrella (or however it's named)

Both triggered by Nikon CLS.

This was quite a complex shot.
The background required 30" exposure at f4 ISO200.

There was a luminscent light on the ceiling behind the camera and it used to interfere with the ambient (lack of) light.

The car was lit with a Nikon SB-800 and a handheld 100x70cm softbox. 7-8 flashes were needed to fully illuminate the car. I made a separate shot for each flash with the SB-800 at 1/10" in order to keep the headlights from blowing out.

This is one huge chopper that most deem very unpractical because it's too heavy to handle. It still was one of the main attractions on the first motorshow, taking place at the international fair in Plovdiv, Bulgaria.

This is the first time I got to try out my new DIY huge softbox. Its size is 180cm x 90cm. I made it specially for shooting cars and especially for dark reflective ones.
The goal is to achieve some smooth and nice reflection by combining multiple shots with the softbox being moved around the car.

Obviously, this shot is far from a complete success. There's still a lot to learn about using this tool properly.

I would have used Nikon's CLS or just SB-800's SU4 mode but the distance was quite big.
