photo: sorry to say, but history of mankind seems to be more dominated by soldiers than by peaceful thinkers... - my picture introduces a mural / painting in an old German castle (Schloss Burg); the subject is the "Battle of Worringen" on June 5, 1288, near Cologne, about 15.000 soldiers had been involved; the question was: should the archbishop of Cologne continue to have so many privileges or not :-) ["Schloss Burg" is geotagged, follow my map link]
