Tunage: The Doors- Riders on the Storm

I don't want to sound lame, but this photo kind of represents how I've been feeling recently. I feel like I'm the small dinosaur and all these problems piling up are the huge dog. Problems and just stuff that come with growing up. I'm excited and looking forward to it all, but for the love of God, I just want to be a teenager for the rest of my life, haha. I love being care free, but if change comes then I will embrace it.

I've had this toy ever since Jurassic Park came out, or sometime around then. I used to have way more but my mom gave them away to those less fortunate, so at least they made another kid happy, eh?

AW YEA. Time to go play Skyward Sword. PEACE!

Tunage: Gram Parsons- She

A new year, new months, and new experiences. Here come the times of typing or writing the previous years number on homework or on documents, only to realize it is now 2012, and not 2011! Sometimes when this happens I feel like a time traveler.

Anyways, 2012 is looking to be a great year so far, and I'll attribute some of that happiness and optimism to my favorite football (soccer) club, Arsenal! They started the season being just above relegation zone and playing, at times, frustrating football. With the departure of two of their star players and a slew of others coming in last minute during the transfer window, it was difficult for the team to find what worked and how to flow, but they battled their way up and are now currently in fourth place. The manager, Arsene Wenger, is a genius. Not to mention the team, and our captain, Robin van Persie. I cannot wait to see how the rest of the season unfolds! :D

"Forward" is the motto that Arsenal seem to be using this season. It's fitting and the thing that the team had to do when they lost Fabregas and Na$ri. I'm trying to adopt this motto into my life more and more, especially in 2012. I want to be able to travel and meet new people while experiencing new things. I want to be able to implement my photography into traveling and just document the adventures and fun times that my friends and I have. I want to improve as a photographer and as a person. I like seeing progress in not only myself, but in others. You know, all that good stuff!

Hopefully I will be like Arsenal and go "Forward" in life. :D

Also, happy New Years and happy holidays! I haven't been able to shoot/upload much recently, but with this 366 that'll be changing! I won't fail like I did on the last one.

So, I had my first double shoot with Sam and his brother, Joe! Sam was in the first band I did promos for, and we've kept in touch every so often since then. This was by the docks, or by the river or something

After we both overslept last time we planned on shooting, I didn't think we'd be shooting anytime soon. I got sick of not being able to shoot people, so I hit him up again and we finally got to shoot! What I worked on today was making sure that not all my shots look the same, which used to be a problem but I'm slowly getting better at fixing it. My friend Keito's words of advice have stuck in my head and I'm glad they did because its helped me start shooting in a whole new, different way.

Ryan's a cool guy. I met him in high school and we shared a number of memorable classes together, which in reality is like one or two, but whatever. What matters is that we owned Religion class and were kings. Also, he's a ladies man, ladies.

Tunage: Jay Z and Big L 7 Minute Freestyle

So, I woke up before 9pm for the first time all break.. I feel like crap :| I could sleep right now, but I'm about to go shoot with my friend Ryan. Anyways, I woke up to my cousin Erick and our friend Uriel ringing my doorbell, looking for me. I remembered I had insisted on them picking me up so we could shoot for a bit before they could go to work. I forgot my Cybersyncs, so I lit this with a Vivitar 383 on camera. It wasn't enough to light the shot, so I did a good amount of post-processing to light it up a bit. I hate that the car's silver because it makes it harder to make the photo pop due to the snow :|

Anyways, I'll probably upload more work later! Constructive criticism is wanted, please!

Tunage: Lupe Fiasco- Double Burger with Cheese

This is Mack. We've been friends since sometime around the first day of school, or something. I remember first meeting him while waiting to get my picture taken for my school ID freshman year. I also recall both of us agreeing that this place (the school) was fucked up. Hahaha. He left our school for another after his sophomore year, unfortunately. We still kicked it and now he has his own apartment! If I can find a solid job, I might move out to his place till summer starts, or however long he's there. We'll see what happens. He's a great friend, for sure. :D

Tunage: The Grateful Dead- Casey Jones

This is my amazing dog and best friend, Chata! We got her around a year and a half ago, and she couldn't have come at a better time. Back then I was going through a bit of a rough time, and having her around all of a sudden was an instant stress-reliever and she made me realize that life wasn't all that complicated and that it was the simple things that mattered. I would watch her and see how she would get ridiculously happy when we would play fetch or she would chase a squirrel and I realized what I stated priorly. Twas a good moment! :D

We got her when she was around two and a half years old from my uncle, who couldn't keep her anymore. Luckily, we got to take her and she is now able to experience what life in the Bonilla household is like. Nothing but pure ~~~~~~~~

Little bit of background info on the lass. She's of the Boston Terrier breed, she is four years old, her birthday is on April 4th, she likes toys, has a squeaky rubber phone labeled "Pooch Mobile" LOL, and she loves sleeping. Did I mention she snores louder than my dad? It's insane and she sleeps in my room. :| One of the reasons I rarely sleep, haha.

Old shot from a shoot from awhile back. Dan graduated two years ahead of me in high school, but I met him during our time on the schools tennis team. He was our captain, and he was a rough captain indeed. It's pretty sad that he never saw me play at my highest level. Dan would have been proud. Shit, I'm talking about him as if he passed away or something.. We shot these in some park by the lake that I've never been to. They were shocked seeing as I was born and raised in the best city in the whole wide world, Milwaukee. Well, I have a shoot in two hours, time to go watch soccer. Peace!
