San Trovaso is a popular district.
There are still one of the last squeri of Venice, a repair shop gondolas and other boats of the Venetian lagoon.
In the 17th century, descended from their original Alps, probably Cadore, the craftsmen have built their homes and workshop, and at home.
Right in Venice, so we find this amazing set of "alpine chalets."
The squero San Trovaso is one of the most active currently.

The Grand Canal ( Canalozzo : Venetians ) is the main channel of Venice. Along about 3800 meters (width from 30 to 70 m, mean depth 5 m), divided into two parts the old town by drawing an "S" that goes upside dall'innesto the Liberty Bridge to the Basin of San Marco.

San Polo is the smallest of the six sestieri of Venice, northern Italy, covering 86 acres (35 hectares) along the Grand Canal. It is one of the oldest parts of the city, having been settled before the ninth century, when it and San Marco formed part of the Realtine Islands. The sestiere is named for the Church of San Polo.

The Basilica di Santa Maria Gloriosa dei Frari, usually just called the Frari, is a church in Venice, northern Italy. One of the greatest churches in the city, it has the status of a minor basilica. It stands on the Campo dei Frari at the heart of the San Polo district. The church is dedicated to the Assumption (Italian: Assunzione della Beata Virgine).

The Grand Canal (Italian: Canal Grande, Venetian: Canalazzo) is a canal in Venice, Italy. It forms one of the major water-traffic corridors in the city. Public transport is provided by water buses (Italian: vaporetti) and private water taxis, and many tourists explore the canal by gondola.

At one end the canal leads into the lagoon near Santa Lucia railway station and the other end leads into Saint Mark Basin: in between it makes a large S-shape through the central districts (sestieri) of Venice. It is 3,800 m long, 30–90 m wide, with an average depth of five meters

Campo Sant'Angelo ( in Venitian San'Anzolo ) is a large square with a Z-plant, located in a major connection point, in the heart of the city streets that branch off from it leading to St. Stephen's (and therefore to the Accademia Bridge), in Campo Manin (and therefore).

The most important historical and architectural buildings that overlook the field, Palazzo Pisani Trevisan, Gritti Palace Morosini Palace Duodo and the complex of the monastery of St. Stephen, which has the particular value pointed portal, decorated with polychrome bas-relief with a bezel of school representative of Padua St. Augustine among the monks.

Find the place on the western side of the field, the small Oratory of the Annunciation, of ancient foundation (Morosini was wanted by the tenth century).

There are also two wells with a true fifteenth century, both among people and Palazzo Gritti Palace Duodo.

In the field stood the church of St. Michael the Archangel, demolished in the nineteenth century in the wake of Napoleon's repression of the year 1807-1810.
