The Judería Street is a short way to connect one side streets Manríquez and Deanes and the other streets Torrijos and Cardenal Herrero, thus being one of the main access roads to the Mezquita.

la Puerta de San Miguel, llamada así por la primera capilla que hubo tras ella y también conocida como de los Obispos; está situada en lo que ya sería la ampliación que de la Mezquita hizo Abd al-Rahman II.
Los adornos del arco fueron añadidos ya en el siglo X.
En el centro de este mismo arco, vemos el escudo del ya mencionado Obispo Don Juan Daza, el cual fue añadido en el siglo XVI, momento en que también se incorporó el alfiz de estilo gótico a la estructura de la puerta.

In the center of this same arc, we see the coat of the aforementioned Bishop Don Juan Daza, which was added in the sixteenth century, when it also joined the Gothic arch panels to the frame of the door.

Se conoce como la Virgen de los Faroles al altar existente situado en el exterior del muro norte del Patio de los Naranjos. El altar presenta a una virgen Asunción rodeada de 11 faroles dentro protegidos por la reja exterior.

Hasta 1928, existió una virgen de Antonio Fernández Castro, que quedó destruida en 1928 a causa de un incendio. El Ayuntamiento de Córdoba encargada a Julio Romero de Torres su reposición llevando a cabo a tal efecto.

La actual virgen existente, es una copia de la original de Julio Romero, que fue trasladado al museo que el pintor tiene en la ciudad.

It is known as the Virgin of Lanterns existing altar located outside the north wall of the Patio de los Naranjos. The altar has a virgin of 11 lanterns surrounded Assumption protected inside the fence outside.

Until 1928, there was a virgin Antonio Fernández Castro, which was destroyed in 1928 because of a fire. Córdoba City Council commissioned from Julio Romero de Torres performing his replacement for that purpose.

The current existing virgin, is a copy of the original Julio Romero, who was transferred to the museum that the painter has in the city.

The Cathedral and former Great Mosque of Córdoba, in ecclesiastical terms the Catedral de Nuestra Señora de la Asunción , and known by the inhabitants of Córdoba as the Mezquita-Catedral , is today a World Heritage Site and the cathedral of the Diocese of Córdoba. The site was originally a pagan temple, then a Visigothic Christian church, before the Umayyad Moors at first converted the building into a mosque and then built a new mosque on the site

The streets of la Judería of Córdoba are very visited by travellers. It was a district where the Jewish lived in the time in which Córdoba gave refuge to inhabitants of three different religions: Christians, Jewish and Muslim.

Calahorra Tower
The tower was built during the late 12th century by the Almohads to protect the nearby Roman Bridge on the Guadalquivir. The tower, standing on the left bank of the river, originally consisted of an arched gate between two square towers.

The building was restored in 1369 by king Henry II of Castile. A third tower was added to the existing ones, in the shape of two cylinder connecting them.

The tower was declared a national historical monument in 1931.
