Another dreadful day here today, so it's back on the old computer time and another look at some of my old stuff. All these photos were taken on the above date and none of them were uploaded to my Dunham Set, so better late than never, here they are for me to enjoy all over again. Hope you like 'em too !

A beautiful day today, so i decided to take my wife and grandaughter to one of our local beauty spots known as Dunham Massey Park. We all enjoyed walking along the paths and through the trees, and watching the deer, swans and ducks, as well as devouring lancashire cheese and fresh salad sandwiches whilst we were doing it. I took quite a few photos on this day and i'll post more later, but i thought you might like to see some good old british autumn sunshine meantime. Hope you enjoy !

Monochrome version of one i posted earlier. I loved the way the light was captured on the hillside and reflected on the trunk of the tree, so i thought i'd try it in mono and see if it still looked OK. What do you think ?...

Update: i entered this into our monthly competition last night 6/12/2011 the judge gave it 6 marks out of 10, guess he didn't like it !

We're about a quarter of the way up this mountain looking down onto the car park and back towards Moffat. You can see there are several trails leading up to the waterfall, but they do get steeper and very dangerous, still, you are rewarded with some fine views !

It's a tough task (as you probably know) when taking shots against the sun, contre jour they call it, but i sometimes like to try my hand at it just to see how they turn out. Considering the strength of the sun on this particular day, and the harsh reflections off the water (and mosses surrounding it), im not too unhappy with these two, so i hope you like the views!

Small waterfall tumbling into what's known as Panniers Pool, it's only about 5/6 feet high but generates quite a lot of noise despite it's size.

This is a small selection of images taken during a great day out with my friend Chris Beesley (Flickr name Fancy that.....look him up, he has a great photostream). It's called The 3 Shires Head, so named because the boundries of Cheshire, Derbyshire & Staffordshire meet with each other at this point. The weather on this day was particularly kind to us, and we both took plenty of shots. Hope you enjoy seeing these few there's lots more to follow !

It was a lovely day yesterday as you can see, so me and my little dog went for a nice walk through the village up to the Dam. I expected to take a few shots whilst we were there so naturally i took my camera with me. The scene was beautiful and was getting better & better as time went on, in the event when i got home i found i had taken 95 images !! Here are just two of them.

Fresh cold mountain air beneath a warm Canadian sun, life doesn't get much better than this. The birds were singing, the bears were making their noises just to let you know they were there, and if you stuck to the trail and didn't go wandering about amongst the trees, everything was fine......usually !

Today our weather is absolutely horrible, dull, dark & non stop raining.Yesterday was glorious so we decided to go for a family walk around our local beauty spot, and we weren't disappointed, the colours were what we really love to see in Autumn,and i took nearly 30 more captures for my temporary files.
