IT Il complesso monastico di Sant'Agostino domina il Sasso Barisano da uno sperone roccioso, circondato da profondi baratri. I monaci dell'ordine degli Eremitani fondarono nel 1592 il convento annettendovi la chiesa dedicata a Santa Maria delle GrazieDistrutto nel 1734 da un terribile terremoto, il complesso fu restaurato e in seguito diventò sede del Capitolo Generale dell'Ordine degli Agostiniani. Il convento fu poi soppresso. Oggi è sede della Soprintendenza per i Beni Architettonici e Ambientali..

EN The monastery of St. Augustine dominates the Sasso Barisano from a rocky outcrop, surrounded by deep chasms. The monks of the Hermits in 1592 founded the convent. Destroyed by a terrible earthquake in 1734, the complex was restored and later became the headquarters of the General Chapter of the Order of the Augustinians. The convent was later deleted. Today it houses the Superintendence for the Architectural and Environmental Heritage..
