Aan is close to the Norwegian national park "Hardangervidda". It is an old "sæter" (summer farm house for cattle). Aan is to is In summertime a hostel, where You can rst and sleep. Aan is conected to the the trekking routes that cross Hardanger Vidda.
The river behind is still un spoled - and it is yet not used for hydropower.

The steam train of Setesdalsbanen on its way the valley. It one of a few museums railways in Norway.

The wooden construction along the railway is an wooden made aquaduct was used for transportation of timber. It was was made to avoid timber transport in a narraow part of the Otra River in Norway. To day the aquaduct is used as a hiking route.
