The USS Constitution named by President George Washington after the Constitution of the United States of America, she is the world's oldest floating commissioned naval vessel. Launched in 1797, She is moored at Constitution Rd Charlestown, MA 02129 Boston, Massachusetts. This is her Gun Deck. During the War of 1812, Constitution's battery of guns typically consisted of thirty 24-pounders (11 kg) cannons, divided to 15 on each side of the gun deck. The USS Constitution has been owned by the US Navy since 1797. "Old Ironsides" sets sail on the fourth of July.
