University of Victoria . i have been a student here for 3 years now and love this place . it is a part time evening course in Humanities ; a course that is designed for education alone and not for a qualification . i have made many friends and delved into so many amazing subjects .

i was recently asked to be the honarary student liason person for this course over the last winter session and loved it

the sun came out so my wife and i and my camera went for a walk on the beach ( couldn't persuade our teenage daughter however ) . the low light of December was perfect for capturing the stunning landscape.

Mount St. Angela was purchased by the by the Sisters of St. Ann in 1959 to provide suitable accommodation for aged and infirm Sisters. It later became a residence for semi-retired Sisters. The building was originally an Anglican property endowed by Angela Burdett-Coutts. Known as Angela College, it was a prominent educational facility in the early days of Victoria. The building had afterwards been a residence for paying guests. Mount St. Angela is a designated heritage building.

Previously known as Angela College, Mt. St. Angela’s was an early institutional
structure constructed in 1865-66 by Wright and Sanders
· Built on Christ Church trust land, and considered of importance similar to the
Emanu-El Temple and Church of Our Lord
· The Anglican Girls College was established in 1860 and closed in the mid 1890’s
· By 1904 the land had been subdivided and sold
· 1909 – purchased for use as a rooming house
· 1911- addition added to the rear
