This is the first time I've seen this fish. Found near Geelong in Corio Bay off St Helen's boat ramp, it was floating with the plants and feeding. Measuring appox. 3-4cm and bright green. Just beautiful

These tiny squid look more like a cuttlefish than a squid. Growing not more than 7cm, they can attach sand to the body and shed it quickly as a decoy to escape dangerous moments. The cutest thing you will ever see.

This one is about 4cm long and constantly changing colors from green to purple depending on the background. Almost impossible to find unless it is hunting above sand.

Beautiful birds and so colorful. They form monogamous pairs and the female can stay in a crevice for up to 100 days without coming out. Some girls I know will kill for eye lashes like hers.

Taken at the Liberty Wreck in Tulamben. The visibility wasn't great for wide angle images so I was thrilled to find this little fella. Taken at around 17 meters near the front of the liberty wreck.

These tiny little fish hang out in groups sitting on the edge of this big hard coral. The visibility wasn't great on this trip but the dives are still spectacular.

The same time I found this sand crab is also when I got stung by a sting ray. This guy is about to burrow itself into the sand. Did I tell you that sting ray sting is like a punch and really hurts?

A cute little bird that spends a lot of it's time around the coastal area of Victoria. This one was found at Kilcunda beach. I used a teleconverter with my 105mm macro lens to get 200mm. I don't believe the result is very sharp but acceptable. It is still not enough zoom to get close to birds though.

A Southern Fiddler Ray taken at Point Cook Coastal Park. They are often mistaken as Banjo sharks that are found mostly around Western Australia. It is rare to find Banjo sharks in Port Phillip bay. Banjo sharks have different markings on their back.

Robberfly Laying Eggs

This rather large robberfly was flying between grass tips laying eggs. It's weight brings the grass down almost to the ground. During it's egging laying moment, nothing seems to bother it. You can see the little orange eggs if you look a bit closer.

There must be a nest near by as this Willie Wagtail would not leave the Magpie alone. The shot was merge from several photos taken during one sequence of attacks. The magpie did move eventually though.
