Went out cycling with Alex and Olly - she is a sponsored mountain-bike rider, and he is a regular road racer. I am neither. Nor am I fit. Or not fit enough to keep up with the two of them anyway! 60 VERY hilly miles in the Peak district nearly killed me.

I have spent most evenings this week getting my car ready to sell. There were a few bits of paintwork that needed touching up, and some rust spots that needed sorting. Thanks to my trusty mini manual, the horn now works again, as do all my lights :D

this is the height that my computer monitor is at (I live in the basement, so have a recessed window into the ground). A frog suddenly jumped up at the window. Scared the living daylights out of me. Had to get the housemate to help me rescue it and put it back in the garden!

This was the view that greeted me as I rocked up at 7am in the morning to the Endurancelife Coastal Trail Series marathon in the North York moors. Getting up at 4am after 4 hours sleep to then drive for 2 hours is not great prep for a marathon!
