Well, well, well. New Flickr, what can I say. After a few days of getting to know you I have had my doubts, but as I get to know you better, I must say... you are pretty awesome. I've always wanted flickr on black, and you granted me that at least...haha!

Flickr friends!! I have some amazing news. I am going to be taking the cover photos for all of the Yellow Pages phonebooks in British Columbia this summer. A huge project that I am actually looking forward to getting done with. The faster I get it done, the more money I make. Wish me luck!

Multnomah Falls is a waterfall on the Oregon side of the Columbia River Gorge, located east of Troutdale, between Corbett and Dodson, along the Historic Columbia River Highway. The falls drops in two major steps, split into an upper falls of 542 feet (165 m) and a lower falls of 69 feet (21 m), with a gradual 9 foot (3 m) drop in elevation between the two, so the total height of the waterfall is conventionally given as 620 feet (189 m). Multnomah Falls is the tallest waterfall in the State of Oregon. It is credited by a sign at the site of the falls as the second tallest year-round waterfall in the United States but that claim is debated among waterfall experts.

A foot trail leads to Benson Footbridge, a 45-foot (14 m)-long footbridge that allows visitors to cross 105 feet (32 m) above the lower cascade. The trail continues to a platform at the top of the upper falls where visitors get a bird's-eye view of the Columbia Gorge and also of "Little Multnomah", a small cascade slightly upstream from the "upper" falls, which is not visible from ground level. The footbridge is named after Simon Benson, who had the bridge built in 1914.

I had the chance to meet up with a long time flickr friend, and amazing photographer, Rasekh aka Wherever I Roam here in Victoria this week. If you like my work, then you'll definitely enjoy his. He has a great collection of photos from all over the world. Check him out.

The above shot was done with exposure fusion in Photomatix. I've never had much success with this method, but this time it finally worked.

Cattle Point Sunrise

I woke up before the crack of dawn this morning to shoot the sunrise with Ireena. This was probably the first sunrise that I've seen in over a year, as I'm primarily a night owl. As you can see it wasn't the greatest sunrise, but it could have been much worse.

I also got to try out a Neutral Density filter for the first time ever. I was pretty impressed with how it brought out the details. On my list of things to get... I think so!

Ok, I am going to try to start posting photos on a regular basis again. I only uploaded 74 photos last year, and I probably took 1000s. Talk about being picky... haha!

I hope this doesn't look awful on your screen. I know that when i go to a place that sells computers, some screens display my photos with too much temperature. particularly Mac's. Even when I look at photos on different computers in my house they all look different. This is one aspect of digital photography that I haven't quite figured out yet.... calibration

This house has the most impressive Christmas light display I've ever seen. You really feel like your in a fantasy land as soon as you see it. There are over 80 moving figurines of just about every classic Christmas Character you could imagine.I wonder how much their electric bill is..
