These turned out great. Used Yukon Golds. Made them differently too. Cooked them on the stove-top in a skillet instead of the more traditional way in the oven.

We decided that the perfect spot to hang the photo was above the TV which is rarely on in our house. We figured when the program we were watching started to bore us, we could simply gaze above the screen and enjoy looking at the beautiful shot of rural Greece. To the left are two photos of Blenheim Palace, UK.

The finished canvas triptych of the shot we took above the 10th C. Byzantine town of Monemavsia, Greece. Anna got a great groupon deal on the Internet for a three-panel photo converted onto canvas and framed. Our present domestic project is to fill our house with these canvas framed photos we take from our trips abroad.

I browned some chicken breasts and will braise them in a reduced sauce made with hard cider, minced rosemary, bacon and parsnips.

A close-up of all the good stuff in my red potatoes ready for the oven and an hour's roasting time. Included are minced garlic, rosemary, thyme, lemon juice, salt, pepper and all bathed in olive oil.

Sat night dinner is served!

Braised chicken in hard cider with parsnips; roasted red potatoes in rosemary and garlic and lemon. We all managed to choke it down.

I must seriously consider purchasing a larger Le Creuset braiser if I am going to cook for the in-laws. These chicken breasts really took up some space. Nevertheless, I got the top on and they cooked happily away in the oven on low.

What are chicken farmers feeding their hens? They're almost too pretty to crack and cook. I believe the blue egg is from a melancholy bird.

Yukon gold potatoes & split garlic cloves boiled and ready to be mashed. Under the Mauviel copper are the prepared onions & apples while the butter browns in the skillet ready to receive the chops. In the oven, a loaf of French bread is baking.
