I didn't notice the spider on the left hand corner, otherwise I would have focused on it rather than the lock itself. Tried to make it a bit sharper, but still not what I wanted :-(

I liked the contrasting white tree at the back and the burnt black tree in front. Converting to black and white didn't improve it at all.

Made the passage down the dam wall look scarier than it is. It reminded me of a story my grandfather told me.

While he worked in the old prison in Pretoria, there was a passage where they kept very dangerous criminals ready for execution. Before the prison closed down all the cells were empty, but they still had to patrol it. Some of the lights were out which left a few dark stretches. The new recruits were sent to patrol there and they use get scared walking through the dark sections. They ran to light at the end, turn around ran all the way back again. They said it always felt like someone was behind you.

You never know. Maybe there was......
