I went looking for the Kingfishers today, but the wind was so strong everything was hiding. This is one from last year. I will be looking again next week.

Almost a good shot, but he wasn't that obliging. In and out of the Casuarina leaves, and light and dark. But he sang for me, and let me almost do the impossible. Not what I was expecting today at all. They will be leaving soon to breed. A lovely sighting.

I've never seen Swamphens like this before. He was tenderly grooming her for quite sometime. It is nearly spring here.
