there were people as early as 4-5 in the evening setting up tripods and all and waiting for the sunset.. there was a wonderful golden glow on the day (6th aug 2011).

regret missing their national day today. Congratulation to all singaporeans for what they have achieved with thier country.

There are a few things that excite a camera more than a waterfall and ambient light for a long xposure shot... went to this spring ind rains with no rainwear and usin a nearby restaurant for cover every time the drizzle got a little too much for the camera to handle.. thank u guys...

Thank you all who have been takin the time to go through my stream and specially who actually comment and fave them.. means a lot to me... especially since i been a bit busy and u have been havin problems viewin ur images on flickr..

The Altar of St.Francis of Assisi Covent &Church-Old Goa, Goa.

What the restoration agencies have been doin for years.. a simple HDR can bring to lifein a few minutes.[:P]

The St.Francis Convent and Church completed in 1661 was with exterior of the Tuscan Order while the main entrance is in Manuline style. The main altar is Baroque with Corinthian features. There are no aisles but only a nave, which is rib-vaulted.

A huge statue of St. Francis of Assisi and the statue of Jesus on the cross which is equally huge lies in the main altar above tabernacle, which was used for displaying holy sacrament, on the both side of main altars paintings are displayed on woods explaining the life of St. Francis of Assisi.There is a statue of Our lady of Miracles brought from Jaffna,Sri Lanka.

The pic has been tone mapped to bring out the details of some excellent woodwork which has since lost its glory..

about the place...
its an fort built by Portugese in 1612 to defend against the dutch and Marathas...
it was once the grandstand of 79 cannons, a moat around the fort also protected it.

its been raining heavily for the last two days and around late night there was some respite.. so when i went for a walk. saw the moon was nicely framed by the foliage.. ran back home 4 the tripod and here we are,..
and yeah... people did assume there was a thief on the road...

ok.. yet another sunset pic...? well.. m back home and nothin seems to be happpenin as planned so far.. the best way to deal with it..?decided to walk to the beach..
