These primates live in family groups of about 15 animals, restricted to the Colombian territory. Tamarins are monogamous animals, so they mate for life. Females dominate the tamarin society and only one female has babies at a time in each group. The male cares for the babies: he is even there to assist at the birth and looks after them throughout the early stages.

A line of wonderfully colored trees soaking under the setting sun was found along the highway between Arrowtown and Queenstown of South Island, New Zealand. Adding to the picturisque scene was the shadow of the trees on the other side of the road, giving good contrast to the otherwise dazzling road.

Despite it's deep autumn in New Zealand, a rose was found still blooming in the Botanic Garden, south of Auckland. Allow me to quote from the Irish poet Thomas Moore:

One Drizzling Evening In Benff

We went to Benff of Canada on Holiday and after dinner, we had a little walk along the Benff Village street. Though the time was somewhere at 9 pm, we still had good lighting for a photo or two. The rain caused the wet street to reflect the neon light of the shop fronts red with shadows of the pedestrians..
